Which railway stations serve Chichester?

Three stations on the coast line serve the city and the harbour villages: Chichester, Fishbourne and Bosham. National Rail lists all three as managed by Southern. We have not quoted train times or journey frequencies because they change with each timetable, so use National Rail or Southern's Chichester page and the live departures boards for those.

Southern says on its Chichester page that the city is around 90 minutes from London Victoria and that it is about a 10 minute stroll from the station into the town.

Fishbourne station

The Fishbourne (Sussex) station page gives the address as Salthill Road, Fishbourne, PO19 3QH, and says it is managed by Southern. If you are heading to Fishbourne Roman Palace, see our things to do guide.

Bosham station

National Rail's Bosham station page gives the address as Station Road, Bosham, PO18 8NG, managed by Southern. It lists 15 parking spaces (1 accessible), step-free access to all platforms which may be reached by long or steep ramps (category B1), no lifts, and help staff Monday to Friday from 06:10 to 10:25, with ticket office hours matching staff availability. It also lists a sheltered waiting area, CCTV and customer information screens, bicycle storage and hire, and drop-off and pick-up points. Refreshments and Wi-Fi are not available.

Is there a Post Office at Bosham station?

The Post Office's branch finder lists Bosham Station Post Office at Delling Lane, Bosham, PO18 8NN, with its own opening times. See our libraries and post offices guide.

How can I save money on tickets?

Southern's Chichester page mentions Railcards, off peak travel, advance tickets, GroupSave (a third off off peak standard class travel for groups of 3 to 9 adults on Southern's network) and its Kids for £2 offer (up to four children at £2 each at off peak times with an adult holding a valid ticket). The conditions are on Southern's site, and you should check them before relying on any of them.

How do I get to the stations by bus?

Chichester station is a short walk from the city centre. Bosham and Fishbourne are also served by Stagecoach routes, covered in our buses guide. National Rail lists drop-off points and bus links for the stations, and Bosham's page mentions rail replacement bus services.
